Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Adjustments

Hydraulic Lifter

1.

Back out adjusting screws in rocker arms until ball shaped end is flush with surface of arm.

2.

Turn crankshaft until No. 1 cylinder is at TDC. Mark on rotor must align with mark on distributor housing.

3.

Turn adjusting screws until they just touch valve stems.

4.

Turn adjusting screws 2 turns clockwise and tighten locknuts.

5.

Rotate crankshaft 180° clockwise and adjust next cylinder.

6.

Repeat above procedure until all cylinders are adjusted.
