Coolant Level Indicator Lamp: Description and Operation

The coolant level sensor is located in the coolant expansion tank and consists of a magnetic float which closes a switch when the coolant falls below
MIN level. When the switch closes, a lead on the instrument panel is grounded and the warning light comes on.
