Connect the tab terminals.
Install the solenoid in the gear selector assembly cut-out. The blade terminal and the cable should be upwards in the gear selector assembly.
Secure the solenoid with the bracket.

Installing mechanical cable for gear selector assembly 

Install the mechanical cable lock onto the bushing on the mechanical cable.
Press the mechanical cable into place on the gear selector assembly.

Note:  Check that the mechanical cable is secure.

Function test 
Move the gear selector to position P.
Ignition on.
Press the brake pedal and check that the solenoid releases the gear selector lever and other gear positions can be selected.

Install the center console 
Install the center console.
