Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

1.

Remove timing belt, refer to TIMING BELT.

2.

Remove timing belt sprocket with drive.

3.

Remove seal using seal remover 3203 or equivalent, being careful not to score sealing surface.

4.

Attach guide from seal installer 2080-A or equivalent, to crankshaft.

5.

Coat oil seal lip and outer surface lightly with oil.

6.

Push oil seal over seal guide, then slide outer sleeve of tool 2080-A over seal guide.

7.

Tighten outer sleeve with timing belt sprocket bolt, until seal is fully seated.

8.

Install timing belt, refer to TIMING BELT. 

9.

Tighten bolts to specifications.
