Removing and installing seat cushion heating element Z6/Z8 - standard seat (Leather and Style versions)
Removing and installing seat cushion heating element -Z6-/-Z8- - standard seat (Leather and Style versions)
Heated seat cushion for driver seat -Z6-/heated seat cushion for front passenger seat -Z8-
Removing
–  Separate the seat cover and seat padding → Chapter.
   
–  Detach the wire -2- right at the old heating element -E-.
  Note
Leave the old heating elements attached to the seat padding -1- and affix the new heating elements over them.
Installing
–  Align the new heating elements on the seat padding.
–  Consecutively detach the backing from the heating elements, taking care not to damage the heating elements.
–  Bond on the heating elements in the sequence -A, B, C, D, E- exactly over the old heating elements without any creases.
–  Route the wires to the individual heating elements along the bottom of the gaps.
Perform further installation operations in the reverse order of removal.
Notes on installation: For example tightening torques, component replacement → Chapter.
