Removing
–  Remove the heater/air conditioning unit: Heater → Chapter, air conditioner → Chapter.
–  Remove the air distribution housing → Chapter.
–  Remove the intake housing → Chapter.
–  Remove the fresh air blower: Heater, manually controlled air conditioner → Chapter, automatically controlled air conditioner → Chapter.
Vehicles with air conditioner:
–  Detach the foam spacer -1-.
–  Screw out the bolts -arrows-.
All vehicles (continued):
–  Prise off the clips -3-.
–  Separate the top -4- and bottom section -2- by pulling the two halves apart.
Installing
l  Tightening torque → Fig., → Chapter

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
–  Fit the clips -A- at the envisaged locations.
  Note
Connection points are provided at various locations around the edge. These can be used to additionally bolt the air ducts together if required. Use is to be made for this purpose of the same type of bolt -B- as for the other connection points at the air conditioning unit.
–  Fit the fresh air blower: Heater, manually controlled air conditioner → Chapter, automatically controlled air conditioner → Chapter.
–  Fit the intake housing → Chapter.
–  Fit the air distribution housing → Chapter.
