Voltage tester -V.A.G 1527/B-
l  Adapter -V.A.G 1598/11- connected

43		Fresh-air blower control unit -J126-
l  Ignition on
t  LED in the voltage tester lights up
–  Locate and rectify the open circuit in the wiring between the fresh-air blower control unit -J126- and the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic -E87-
    
t  The fresh air blower -V2- is running
–  Check the voltage supply to the fresh-air blower -V2- → Chapter
–  Check that the fresh-air blower -V2- is moving freely
–  Replace the fresh-air blower control unit -J126-

1)  Terminal “30” (positive) is at connector “D”, contact “12”.
   
Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051-, measurement mode: Multimeter, voltage measurement (20 V =)
l  Adapter -V.A.G 1598/11- connected
Voltage tester -V.A.G 1527/B-
Test stepTest box -V.A.G 1598 A- socketBeing tested:

l  Ignition on
t  Voltage less than 2 V
–  Using the current flow diagram, check the wiring between control unit for the fresh-air blower -J126- and the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic -E87-
    
t  Fresh-air blower is not running
–  Check the voltage supply to the fresh-air blower -V2- → Chapter
–  Replace the fresh-air blower control unit -J126-

l  Ignition on
–  Switch the voltage tester between socket “43” and terminal “30” → Note
t  Voltage above 2 V
t  The fresh-air blower -V2- is running
–  Locate and rectify the open circuit in the wiring between the fresh-air blower control unit -J126- and the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic -E87-
–  Check the voltage supply to the fresh-air blower -V2- → Chapter
–  Replace the fresh-air blower control unit -J126-

2)  Terminal “30” (positive) is at connector “D”, contact “12”.
