1 - Bolt
q   10 Nm
2 - Oil level and oil temperature sender -G266-
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
3 - Seal
q   Renew
4 - Sump
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
5 - Oil drain plug
q   30 Nm
6 - Bolt
q   10 Nm
7 - Suction pipe
q   Clean strainer if dirty
8 - Bolt
q   10 Nm
9 - Gasket
q   Renew
10 - Bolt
q   Renew
q   12 Nm
11 - Crankshaft oil seal
q   Renewing → Chapter
12 - Oil pump
q   Oil pump housing is combined as one unit with sealing flange (pulley end)
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Before installing, check that the two dowel sleeves for centring oil pump/cylinder block are fitted
q   When installing note drive cams on crankshaft
13 - Gasket
q   Renew
q   Must be positioned on dowel sleeves
14 - Cylinder block
15 - Oil filter
q   Removing and installing → Booklet809
q   See note → Anchor
16 - Bolt
q   Tightening torque and sequence → Fig.
17 - Bolt
q   Renew
q   Tightening torque and sequence → Fig.
q   Use Allen key (long reach) -T10058- to loosen and tighten at flywheel end

   
Sump - tightening torque and sequence
–  Tighten bolts securing sump in three stages as follows:
1.  Tighten bolts securing sump to cylinder block initially to 5 Nm.
2.  Tighten bolts -arrows- securing sump to gearbox to 45 Nm.
3.  Tighten bolts securing sump to cylinder block to 13 Nm.

Pressure control valve for crankcase breather system - tightening torques
–  Tighten bolts -arrows- to 10 Nm.
–  Tighten bolt -3- securing bracket to 20 Nm.

Connection with guide tube for oil dipstick and oil filler pipe - tightening torque
  Note
Fit new O-rings.
–  Tighten bolt securing connection with guide tube for oil dipstick and oil filler pipe to 9 Nm.

Oil pressure switch -F1-
  Note
t  Opening/closing pressure 0.3 bar.
t  Checking oil pressure switch -F1- → Chapter
t  Renew seal.
–  Tighten oil pressure switch -F1- to 25 Nm.
