Installing > < Removing and installing subframe

Removing
Removing
–  Remove wheels.
–  Remove noise insulation.
–  Remove nuts on left and right swivel joints.
   
–  Apply ball joint puller -3287 A--1- as shown in the illustration and press out swivel joints.
  Note!
Take care not to damage rubber boot when inserting ball joint puller.

–  Detach coupling rod from anti-roll bar -arrow A-.
–  Turn anti-roll bar upwards.
  A40-0335
–  Unbolt steering box from subframe -arrows- and tie up with wire (or similar).
–  Place engine and gearbox jack -V.A.G 1383 A- under subframe.
–  Locate subframe → Chapter.
–  Carefully lower subframe.
