| Compress coil spring with spring compressor -V.A.G 1752/1- until axial ball bearing is free at top. |

| Unscrew hexagon nut from piston rod. |

| Take off suspension strut components and coil spring together with spring compressor -V.A.G 1752/1-. |

| 3 - | Reversible ratchet -T10001/11- |
| 4 - | Socket (21 mm) -T10001/5- |
| 5 - | Spring compressor -V.A.G 1752/1- |
| 6 - | Spring retainer -V.A.G 1752/4- |
Caution | First compress spring far enough to ensure that upper spring plate is free. |
