Release rear retaining clip -arrow- and remove module.

Disengage locks on electrical connections and disconnect electrical connections.

Installing 
Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-

First engage top steering column trim into forward portion of bottom trim -arrow 1- as illustrated.

Ensure locating tabs on lower trim engage in recess on upper trim -arrow 2- as illustrated.

NOTE:  Shown in illustration with steering column trim removed.

Install airbag module and steering wheel.

Tightening torques 
Lower steering column trim to steering column switch module - screw: 3.5 Nm 
Handle to steering column adjuster lever - screw: 3.5 Nm 
Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527 to steering column switch module - screw: 0.4 Nm
