Disconnect harness connector of sensor wire at steering pinion.

Press terminal off spiral spring housing, using screwdriver (blade width 3 mm), as shown in illustration.

Pull out locking mechanism out of steering gear housing.

Pull sensor wire out of steering gear housing.

Installing

Guide sensor wire into steering gear housing.

-

Secure spiral spring - arrow - with sensor wire to steering gear housing.

-

Insert terminal into spiral spring housing.

Terminal is coded and can only be installed in one direction.

-

Disconnect old harness connector from control module.

-

Press button - a - in direction of - arrow - and disconnect connector to do so.

-

Insert wires of new sensor wiring into new connector housing.

Use details on old connector terminal for coding.
