Pull out thrust piece out of steering gear housing using HAZET 1847-2 or similar.
Note:

If there are signs of corrosion, damage or wear on rack, steering gear must be replaced completely.
Installing and adjusting

Coat new thrust piece - arrow - (contact surface of rack), gasket and hole in steering gear housing - arrow - with supplied grease G 052 192 A1.
Do not use any other type of grease.

Insert thrust piece into steering gear housing.

Install new seal - arrow - and new spring.

Tighten adjustment screw to 40 Nm.
