Install securing ring

Apply sealing compound - hatched surface - onto clean inner surface of cap for CV boot. Sealant bead: continuous, 2 to 3 mm diameter. Guide
inside in area of holes -arrow -.

For this, use sealant 454 300 A2.

Slide CV boot onto drive axle.
Drive axle, CV boot and contact surface of cap must be free of grease!
Make sure not to damage sealant bead.

Align CV boot with cap to bolt holes using bolts - arrows -.
A very exact alignment must be performed because an alignment is no longer possible after driving on.

Drive CV boot with cap on using a plastic hammer.

Remove surplus sealant immediately.
