The transmission fluid present in the overflow tube -arrow 2- drains out first.

Note:

Even with a low fluid level, a small amount of transmission fluid will leak out of the overflow tube, because it becomes filled during operation.

Check whether overflow tube is screwed in the transmission to 3 Nm, tighten if necessary.

If the overflow tube is not properly fastened, the correct fluid level cannot be determined.

Allow the excess transmission fluid to drain off.

The transmission fluid level is correct if a small amount of fluid drips out when the transmission fluid temperature is between 35 degree C
and 45 degree C (this occurs as the fluid expands via heating up).

In this case, no transmission fluid must be added; the fluid level is OK.

Note:

Every 30 seconds, a small wave of fluid exits the oil level tube, independent of the height of the oil level (Reason: Cool oil impulse to clutch.)
This wave is not criteria indicating an excessive fluid level and must therefore not be considered when determining the fluid level.

The discharged transmission fluid must not be filled in again or be re-used. Ensure proper disposal of fluid.

If no fluid leaks escapes with transmission fluid temperature between 35 degree C and 45 degree C, add transmission fluid Transmission
Fluid, Filling.

Always replace seal -arrow- of the inspection plug.
