The final control diagnosis checks the function of the crash output. When the airbags are triggered, the central locking system switches immediately to UNLOCK, the internal central locking switch is disabled, and the fuel supply is interrupted. The hazard warning lights and the interior lights are switched on.

Notes:

• ◆ Before carrying out the final control diagnosis the central locking must be switched to "locked" (use internal switch).
• ◆ Switch interior light switch to position "door contact".
• ◆ After the final control diagnosis has been completed, the central locking controls are not active until fault memory of CL control unit has been erased.

Performing function "03 - final control diagnosis"

• ‒ Press keys -0- and -3-.

• ‒ Confirm input with Q key.

The engine must switch off.

Central locking must switch to "open".

The hazard warning lights and interior lights come on.

• ‒ Press the internal switch. The central locking system must not switch back to "lock".

Notes:

After this step has been performed, fault code 01366 will be stored in the CL control unit.

After completing the final control diagnosis the fault memory of the CL control unit must be read and this fault must be erased => Page01-66.
