Retrofitting key-operated switch (Audi A6 1998 ▸ from week 36/1998 onwards including Audi Allroad, except vehicles with V8 engine)
Retrofitting key-operated switch (Audi A6 1998 ► from week 36/1998 onwards including Audi Allroad, except vehicles with V8 engine)
  WARNING
There is no provision for retrofitting the key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side -E224- on vehicles with V8 engine (Audi A6, Audi Allroad, Audi S6 and Audi RS 6).
  WARNING
When retrofitting key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side -E224- and warning lamp for airbag deactivated on front passenger side -K145-, observe safety precautions for working on airbags → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.69.
  WARNING
Before handling the airbag units (e.g. unplugging the electrical connector) the mechanic must discharge static electricity by briefly touching the door striker plate, or similar.
