Removing and installing lock carrier with ancillary components
  • Torx bolt
    • ◆ 23 Nm
  • Lock carrier
    • ◆ Before removing, detach bumper trim

Note:

Lock carrier can be removed with headlights and radiator fitted.

    • ◆ If radiator is also to be removed, drain coolant beforehand.
    • ◆ Detach electrical connections for headlights.
    • ◆ Turn-signal unit removed.
    • ◆ Remove bonnet lock => Page 55-3

    • ◆ To remove, unscrew bolts -1- and -4-.
    • ◆ Bolts -arrows- are used to locate bumper on lock carrier and are not unscrewed.
    • ◆ Remove lock carrier to front.
  • Turn-signal indicator
  • Hexagon bolt
    • ◆ 35 Nm
  • Torx bolt
    • ◆ 6 Nm
  • Bumper
    • ◆ Removing => Page 63-1
  • Bumper cover
    • ◆ Removing => Page 63-1
  • Self-tapping screw
    • ◆ 7.5 Nm

  • ‒ Unscrew Torx bolt -arrow-.

  • ‒ Unscrew lower bolts -arrows- at bonnet lock.
  • ‒ → Unscrew bolts on bumper and remove support.
