‒ Remove mirror plate from mirror base.

‒ Use wire brush to remove PUR-adhesive from mirror plate.

‒ Grind off three spacers on bonding surface. Use sandpaper (360/400 grain) on flat surface.

‒ Keep sanded surface clean and free from dirt and grease.

‒ Use glass scraper to remove PUR adhesive and primer from windscreen down to ceramic layer.

‒ Clean bonding area with adhesive remover D 002 000 10 or cleaning solution D 009 401 04.
Important Do not damage ceramic coating. Scratches will remain permanently visible.

‒ Cut nylon mesh fabric exactly to the size of the mirror base.
Note:
Wear hand protection (rubber glove).

‒ Apply adhesive evenly and smoothly to base of mirror.

‒ Fit nylon mesh fabric onto base of mirror.

‒ Apply further adhesive to nylon mesh fabric by dabbing with the tube.
30 seconds are available for applying the adhesive to the nylon mesh fabric until pressing it onto the windscreen.

‒ Press base of mirror firmly (do not use force) against windscreen for 15 seconds.

‒ Remove excess adhesive with a cloth.
Note:
Interior rear-view mirror can be fitted after 15 minutes.
Important Use adhesive at room temperature and observe manufacturer's safety instructions and directions for use. The material will harden fully after several hours.
