Removing and installing upper section of centre console

  • ‒ → Remove front ashtray => Fig.3
  • ‒ Remove trim for centre section of dash panel => Fig.4
  • ‒ Remove glove compartment
  • ‒ Remove driver's storage compartment => Page 68-8
  • ‒ Unscrew bolts -4- (4x) with spring clips -1- (4x). Tightening torque 4 Nm.
  • ‒ Remove bolts -2- (2x). Tightening torque 4 Nm.
  • ‒ Move centre console -3- slightly forward and detach wiring.
  • ‒ Connector arrangement => Fig.5

Note:

When installing spring clips -1- must be fitted vertically at top and horizontally at bottom.

  • ‒ → Unscrew bolt -1-. Tightening torque 1.2 Nm.
  • ‒ Unplug connectors (2x).
  • ‒ When installing, enter rubber holder -2- in centre section of dash panel.

  • ‒ Remove radio

=> Radio, Telephone and Navigation System; Repair group 91

  • ‒ Unscrew bolts -1- (4x). Tightening torque 1.2 Nm.
  • ‒ Unclip trim -4-.
