Removing and installing backrest shell

  • Backrest
  • Bolts (4x)
  • Backrest shell
  • ◆ Removing
    • ‒ Raise seat as far as possible.
    • ‒ Remove seat
    • ‒ Remove fitting panels => Page 72-147
    • ‒ Remove side airbag-module => Page 69-108
    • ‒ Remove upholstery from backrest => Page 74-32
    • ‒ Remove spring cover => Page 72-149
    • ‒ Slacken off bolts -2- (4x) on side of backrest shell -3-.
 
A72-0153
    • ‒ Set down seat such that backrest shell -3- is accessible from below.
    • ‒ Slightly squeeze together the two clips -4- on inner underside of backrest shell -3-.
    • ‒ Pull backrest shell -3- off seat at bottom.
    • ‒ Take off backrest shell -3- upwards.
  • ◆ Installing
    • ‒ Insert backrest shell -3- on top of backrest -1-.
    • ‒ Fold down backrest shell -3- until clips -4- engage.
    • ‒ Tighten bolt -2- (4x).
  • Clips (2x)
