Removing and installing seat rails

  • Adapter
  • Seat rail
  • ◆ Removing
    • ‒ Move seat as far back as possible.
    • ‒ Remove seat
    • ‒ Remove underbody => Page 72-162
    • ‒ Detach adapter -1- from seat rails -2- (remove one bolt -4- at both front and rear).
    • ‒ Move seat rail -2- as far forward as possible and remove bolts -5- at rear between console and seat rail.

    • ‒ Move seat rail -2- as far back as possible and remove bolts at front between console -3- and seat rail -2-.
    • ‒ Remove memory module => Page 72-169
    • ‒ Detach seat rails -2-.
  • ◆ Installing
    • ‒ Bolt console, rails and adapter to tightening torque 23 Nm.
    • ‒ Install new, microencapsulated bolts, or use Locktite.
    • ‒ Position tape hook -7- for memory module -6- on door side at front between seat rail -2- and console -3- and bolt down together with seat rail and console.
