• Moulded headliner

• ◆ Removing moulded headliner:
• ‒ Remove upper A-pillar trim

• ‒ Detach left wiring harness to moulded headliner from pillar A to dash panel.
• ‒ Remove B-pillar trim
  3-door vehicles
• ‒ Remove D-pillar trim in 3-door vehicles => Page 70-118
• ‒ Remove C-pillar trim in 5-door vehicles => Page 70-127
• ‒ Remove D-pillar trim in 5-door vehicles => Page 70-129
• ‒ Detach connector with an automatic anti-glare interior rear-view mirror.
• ‒ Remove sun visors -2-.
• ‒ Remove brackets -3- for sun visors.
• ‒ Remove centre sun visor -5-.

• ‒ Lever out cover frame -6- on models with sunroof.
• ‒ Remove cover for moulded headlining cut-out and reading lamp => Fig. 1
• ‒ Remove roof grab handles => Fig.2
• ‒ Detach all door seals in area of moulded headliner.
• ‒ Remove rear interior light -12-.
• ‒ Position gear lever or selector lever as far back as possible.
• ‒ Tilt backrest of passenger's seat as far back as possible.
• ‒ Tilt backrest of driver's seat as far back as possible.
• ‒ A second person is required to support the moulded headliner.

• ‒ Unclip moulded headliner at rear (1x).
• ‒ Pull moulded headliner towards rear of vehicle to remove.

• ◆ Installing
• ‒ Insert moulded headliner from rear.

Note:

Make sure to follow installation sequence, as otherwise roof trim cannot be centred.

• ‒ A second person is required to support the moulded headliner.
• ‒ Insert moulded headliner at rear.
• ‒ Attach centre sun visor -5-.

• ‒ Unclip trim frame for sunroof -6-.
• ‒ Install rear interior light (switch facing passenger's side).
• ‒ Install sun visor and sun visor bracket.
• ‒ Install grab handles.
• ‒ Carry out remainder of installation in reverse order of removal.

• Sun visor
• ‒ Unclip sun visor-2- from bracket -7- unclip trim cap -8- and unscrew bolt -5-.
• Sun visor bracket
• ‒ Lever cap -10- off bracket for sun visor and Unscrew bolts -9-.
• Sun visor light

• Centre sun visor
• ‒ Unscrew bolt -13- for centre sun visor and remove sun visor -5-.
• Frame trim for sunroof
• Bolt
• Trim cap

• Bolt
• Trim cap
• Grab handles (4x)
• Rear interior light
• Bolt

• ‒ Unclip caps starting from front.
• ‒ → Unscrew bolts -2- (2x).
• ‒ Remove cover -1- from front.
• ‒ Detach connectors.

• ‒ → Open cover -4- as far as possible.
• ‒ Remove bolts -5- (2x).
• ‒ Tightening torque 4 Nm
• ‒ Self-locking
• ‒ Replace
• ‒ Threaded bores for bolts must always be cleaned (e.g. with a thread tap).
• ‒ If threaded bushings are loose, re-tighten using riveting pliers.
• ‒ Pull roof grab handle -1- with the prefixings -3- out of the retainers -6-.

•     2 -    Coat hook
• ‒ Coat hooks for rear roof grab handles
• ‒ Coat hook faces forward.
