General information

  • Cross-head bolt, 4 Nm
  • Brake disc
    • ◆ Assignment, dimensions, wear limit => Page 00-1 onwards
    • ◆ Do not force brake discs off wheel hub; use rust remover if necessary to avoid damaging brake discs
    • ◆ Always replace on an axle basis
  • Grease cap
    • ◆ Removing and installing

=> Running Gear, Front-wheel Drive and Four-wheel Drive; Repair Group 42

  • Twelve-point nut
    • ◆ Tightening torque

    • ◆ Replace only as complete assembly

  • Hexagon socket-head bolt
    • ◆ Tightening torque => Page 45-111

  • Brake carrier
    • ◆ With guide pin and protective cap
    • ◆ Replacement carriers are supplied assembled and with sufficient grease at guide pins
    • ◆ Fit repair set in the event of damage to protective caps; use grease pad provided to lubricate guide pins
  • Brake hose/brake pipe
    • ◆ With banjo bolt and sealing rings
    • ◆ Replace after slackening off banjo bolt
    • ◆ Tighten banjo bolt to 38 Nm
  • Bolt, 35 Nm
    • ◆ Self-locking
    • ◆ Support at guide pin when slackening off and tightening
    • ◆ Always replace after removing
