Detach and re-attach compressor from/to bracket (4 cyl. petrol engine)

Notes:

  • ◆ After removing compressor, secure to chassis longitudinal member with wire or similar - do not leave compressor hanging from the refrigerant pipes.
  • ◆ Do not drain the refrigerant circuit - do not remove refrigerant hoses from compressor.
  • ◆ Mark direction of ribbed belt before removing - reversing the direction of rotation can destroy the belt.
  • ◆ When removing the compressor, specially note pressure switch -F88 installed on the power steering pump.
  • ◆ Remove secondary air pump -V101 from vehicles that have one installed.

  • ‒ Removing ribbed belt.

  • ‒ Remove noise insulation and division between engine compartment and right wheel housing.

  • ‒ Remove power steering pump from bracket.

  • ‒ → Remove bolts -A- (tightening torque 45 Nm).

Notes:

  • ◆ Before inserting the compressor, push slide bush -B- completely into the compressor hole.
