Perform electrical check at radiator fan control unit -J293
Perform electrical check at radiator fan control unit -J293

Required measuring and testing equipment:

  • ‒ Handheld multimeter V.A.G 1526,
  • ‒ Adapter set V.A.G 1594,
  • ‒ Diode test lamp V.A.G 1527,
  • ‒ Vehicle diagnosis system VAS 5051 (for vehicles with high-pressure sensor -G65 for testing pressure signal)

Test requirements

All fuses OK in line with current flow diagram.

The fault memory of operating and display unit -E87 has been interrogated - there are no faults.

No compressor shutoff condition has been displayed in the measured value block (display group 001 display zone 1) of operating and display unit -E87 with the engine running.

Operating and display unit -E87 is installed.

→ Connector -A- and -B- are disconnected from control unit -J293 (the illustration shows the type which is installed into vehicles with pressure switch -F129).
