Sequence for dismantling and assembling → Chapter
1)  Adjustment work is required if these components are renewed → Chapter
   
1 - Countersunk bolt, 25 Nm
q   Flange shaft (right-side) to threaded piece on differential
q   Length of countersunk bolt is matched to bevel box
q   Check Part No. of bevel box
q   Allocate countersunk bolt according to → Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA) when renewing bevel box.
2 - Flange shaft (right-side)
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Fig.
q   Removing and installing with gearbox installed → Chapter
3 - Needle bearing (polygon bearing)
q   2 x
q   Renewing → Chapter
4 - Circlip
q   Always renew
5 - Oil seal
q   Pry out oil seal using lever
q   Drive in onto stop using thrust piece -T10049- → Anchor.
q   Renewing (with gearbox installed) → Chapter
6 - Centre hex stud, 45 Nm
q   M 10/ M 8
7 - Washer
q   For centre hex stud → Item
8 - Bolt, 25 Nm
q   M 8
9 - Bolt, 45 Nm
q   M 10
10 - Oil drain plug, 60 Nm
q   With magnet and seal
11 - Cover, large → Note
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Keep straight when installing, tighten securing bolts diagonally and in stages
12 - O-ring
q   If fitted, always renew
13 - Oil deflector plate
q   Note installation position → Anchor
q   Fitted on some gearboxes between shim S1 → Item and large tapered roller bearing for bevel gear → Item
14 - Shim S1
q   Note thickness
q   Fitted on some gearboxes between oil deflector plate → Item and cover, large → Item
q   Table of adjustments → Chapter
15 - Large tapered roller bearing for bevel gear → Note
Inner race:
q   Pressing off → Anchor
q   Pressing on → Anchor
Outer race:
q   Pulling out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Anchor
16 - Bevel gear with input shaft → Note
q   Is paired with shaft bevel gear → Item
q   Cannot be pressed off input shaft
q   Adjusting → Chapter
17 - Final drive housing → Note
q   Drain oil then secure bevel box on assembly stand using gearbox support -T10108- ⇒ from Page → Chapter
18 - Oil supply sleeve
q   Pulling out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Fig.
19 - O-ring
q   Always renew
20 - Small tapered roller bearing for bevel gear → Note
Inner race:
q   Fitted on input shaft without securing
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Installing → Anchor
Outer race:
q   Fitted in final drive gear without securing
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Installing → Anchor
21 - Bolt, 25 Nm
22 - O-ring
q   Always renew
q   Must rest in circumferential groove
23 - Cover, small → Note
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Keep straight when installing, tighten securing bolts diagonally and in stages
24 - O-ring
q   Always renew
25 - Shim S2
q   Note thickness
q   Table of adjustments → Chapter
26 - O-ring
q   Always renew
27 - Oil supply sleeve
q   Pulling out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Fig.
28 - Roller bearing
q   Pulling out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Fig.
29 - Shaft bevel gear → Note
q   Is paired with bevel gear
q   Clean thread
q   Apply multi-purpose grease to splines for output flange
q   Adjusting → Chapter
30 - Large tapered roller bearing for shaft bevel gear → Note
Inner race:
q   Fit onto shaft bevel gear → Item
Outer race:
q   Pressing out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Anchor
31 - Output flange → Note
q   Pulling out → Anchor
q   Drawing in → Fig.
q   Apply multi-purpose grease to splines
32 - Hexagon nut, 475 Nm
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Installing → Anchor
q   Always renew
q   Apply locking fluid -D 000 600- when fitting
33 - Shim S4
q   Note thickness
q   Table of adjustments → Chapter
q   Fit shim onto shaft bevel gear → Item before inserting inner race for small tapered roller bearing → Item
34 - Oil seal
q   Renew only with bevel box removed → Chapter
35 - Small tapered roller bearing for shaft bevel gear → Note
Outer race:
q   Pressing out → Anchor
q   Pressing in → Anchor
Inner race:
q   Pulling off from output flange → Anchor
q   Insert in outer race
36 - Bolt, 25 Nm
q   Apply sealant -AMV 188 200- when installing
37 - Pinion housing → Note
q   Removing → Anchor
q   Installing → Anchor
q   Keep straight when installing, tighten securing bolts diagonally and in stages.
38 - Shim S3
q   Note thickness
q   Table of adjustments → Chapter
q   Apply sealant -AMV 188 200- on both sides before fitting
