  • ◆ Condition for recognising fault: the ratio of engine speed to gearbox output speed in the currently engaged gear is implausible. Slip rpm with torque converter lock-up clutch disengaged must be greater than stall speed.

2)    First of all, check plug connectors for contact corrosion or ingress of water and renew if necessary.

Note re fault code 00660:

  • ◆ Condition for recognising fault: the gearbox control unit has received a kickdown signal, and the signal for the throttle valve value / accelerator pedal value is less than 95%.

This fault will be detected if, for example, the engine control unit is coded for manual gearbox.

This fault will be detected if, for example, the gearbox control unit for a 4-cylinder engine is installed in a vehicle with 6-cylinder engine. The gearbox control unit must be renewed as it cannot be coded.
