Removing and installing cooling system components - vehicles with engine codes AEH, AKL
Important
Hot steam or hot coolant can escape when opening expansion tank. Cover cap with a cloth and open carefully.
Notes:

◆ When the engine is warm the cooling system is under pressure. If necessary release pressure before commencing repair work.

◆ Secure all hose connections with the correct hose clamps (same as original equipment):

◆ Hose clamp pliers V.A.G 1921 or spring clamp pliers VAS 5024 A are recommended for use in installing spring clamps.

◆ Replace seals and gaskets.

◆ The arrow markings on the coolant pipes and on the ends of the hoses must align.
