t  Fitting sleeve -30-100-
t  Two-arm puller, commercially available
t  Protective gloves

Removing
–  Remove sealing flange (front) → Chapter.
–  Remove sump → Chapter.
–  Remove oil pump sprocket, chain tensioner and chain → Item.
–  Detach chain sprocket for crankshaft with puller -2-; use a suitable washer -1- to protect crankshaft journal.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Heat chain sprocket in oven for approx. 15 minutes to 220°C.
  WARNING
Wear protective gloves.
–  Using pliers, locate sprocket on end of crankshaft.
l  Installation position: wider collar on sprocket faces engine.
–  Push sprocket onto crankshaft as far as the stop using fitting sleeve -30-100-.
