Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Counterhold for clutch -VW 558-
  W00-0252
Removing
l  Gearbox removed.
–  Remove flywheel → Rep. Gr.30.
–  Fit counterhold tool for clutch -VW 558- to pressure plate when slackening bolts.
–  Remove pressure plate.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Use new bolts for securing.
l  The pressure plate can only be installed in one position. Holes are off-set.
–  Fit counterhold tool for clutch -VW 558- to pressure plate when tightening bolts.
–  Install flywheel → Rep. Gr.30.

  V30-0025

l  1) Renew bolts.
l  2) 90° = one quarter turn.
