Removing and installing throttle cable

Removing
Left-hand drive vehicles:
–  Remove storage compartment (driver's side) → Rep. Gr.68.
–  Disengage end of throttle cable -1- at top of accelerator pedal -2-.
Right-hand drive vehicles:
–  Remove glove box → Rep. Gr.68.
–  Disengage end of throttle cable at operating rod → Item.

All vehicles (continued):
–  Disengage nipple -1- on end of throttle cable from cable cam.
–  Pull grooved section of throttle cable sheath -4- out of rubber grommet -2- at support bracket -5-.
Vehicles with automatic gearbox:
–  Unplug electrical connector at kick-down switch -F8- on left side of bulkhead.
All vehicles (continued):
–  Pull throttle cable out of bulkhead.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Observe notes → Anchor.
–  Adjust throttle cable → Chapter.
