  • ◆ Ring spanner set 3337
  • ◆ Hot bolt paste G 052 112 A3

Removing
 
A26-0142
  • ‒ → Unscrew protective cover -arrows- on underside of vehicle.
  • ‒ Unplug connector of appropriate lambda probe and move wire clear.
 
M24-0053
  •      -    (black) to lambda probe upstream of catalytic converter -G39
  •      -    (brown) to lambda probe downstream of catalytic converter -G130
  • ‒ Use special tool 3337 to screw out lambda probe.

Installing

Pay attention to the following on installation:

Notes:

  • ◆ The thread of the lambda probe is coated with an assembly paste, which must not be allowed to ingress into the openings in the probe.
  • ◆ Tightening torque 55 Nm
  • ◆ On installation, lambda probe cable must always be reattached at the same locations to prevent probe wire coming into contact with exhaust pipe.
