Servicing Motronic injection system
Wiring and component check with test box V.A.G 1598/22

Notes:

  • ◆ Use the hand multimeter V.A.G 1526 or the multimeter V.A.G 1715 and the diode test lamp V.A.G 1527 for the checks.
  • ◆ To connect the testers to the test box use auxiliary cables from adapter set V.A.G 1594.

  • ◆ → The contact numbers on the connector correspond to the socket numbers on the test box.
  • ‒ With the ignition switched off, unplug connector from control unit.
  • ‒ Connect test box to wiring harness connector.
  • ‒ Carry out check according to relevant repair operations.
Warning!
To prevent damage to the electronic components, switch to the respective measuring range before connecting the measuring cable and observe the test prerequisites.

Note:

After re-connecting the engine control unit, perform adaptation of throttle valve control part.
