Removing

• ‒ → Remove engine cover-arrows-.

• ‒ Disconnect wires/unplug connectors from:

•      -    Intake air temperature sender -G42
•      -    Hall sender -G163
•      -    Throttle valve control part -J338

• ‒ → Disconnect the fuel feed line -1- and fuel return line -2-, (press release tabs).

• ‒ → Disconnect the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator -arrow-.

• ‒ → Detach connectors -1-.
• ‒ Detach wiring duct -2-.
• ‒ Remove 2 hexagon socket head bolts -arrows- for the fuel rail.
• ‒ Pull fuel rail complete with injectors evenly off the intake manifold and place it on a clean cloth in the engine compartment.
• ‒ Detach retainer and detach injector.

Note:

Replacement of fuel rail involves disconnecting the fuel hoses.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

• ● Replace the O-rings at all detached connections. (when renewing the front O-ring, ensure that the plastic cap is not removed from the injector head. The O-ring must be pulled off over the plastic cap).
• ● Coat the O-rings with clean engine oil.
• ● Make sure that the injectors are installed in the correct positions.
• ● Check to make sure that the retainer clamps are properly seated.
• ● Position fuel rail with secured injectors on intake manifold and press evenly into place.
