Motronic injection and ignition system (4-cyl. turbo)

Coding control unit

If the appropriate code for the vehicle is not displayed or if the control unit has been renewed, the control unit must be coded as follows.

Note:

The control unit version with Part No. 8N0 906 018 is programmed with fixed code "05610" and cannot be re-coded.

‒ Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051 (or fault reader V.A.G 1551) and select engine electronics control unit by entering address word "01" ( .)
When doing this the ignition must be switched on.
