Vane pump servicing work is not envisaged. Replace vane pump if fault is found.
In the event of problems, consult Fault Finding No. 10: Running Gear and employ pressure test and leak test to establish cause.

Notes:

◆ Replacement pumps are supplied without fluid fill. Prior to installation they are therefore to be filled with hydraulic fluid G 002 000 and cranked by hand to avoid the possibility of noise whilst driving or pump damage.

◆ Quantity of fluid in system: 0.7 ... 0.9 l

◆ Do not re-use hydraulic fluid drained off.

◆ Replace sealing rings.

◆ Before removing, mark direction of ribbed belt with chalk or felt-tipped pen. Running a used belt in the opposite direction could destroy it.
