Adjusting front axle toe

A44-0080
  • ‒ → Provide support at track rod end -A- with 24 mm wrench when unfastening/tightening lock nut -B-.
  • ‒ Unfasten lock nut -B-.
  • ‒ → Adjust toe in each case at left and right wheel with hexagon -C-.

Notes:

  • ◆ Make sure boot at steering box is neither damaged nor twisted, as twisted boots soon become worn.
  • ◆ Only tighten lock nuts for threaded section when vehicle is standing on ground - track rod end must be parallel with arm of suspension strut.
  • ‒ Tighten lock nut -B- to 50 Nm and check toe-in value again.

Value set may deviate slightly after tightening lock nut -B-.

Setting is however correct if measured toe value is within tolerance.
