Checking wiring between radio and CD changer > < Removing and installing

A3 Mk1

Removing and installing CD changer (as of MY 99)
Removing and installing CD changer (as of MY 99)
–  Switch off all electrical equipment.
–  Remove ignition key.
Removing:
–  Remove left luggage compartment side trim → General body repairs, Interior; Rep. Gr.70.
If navigation unit or TV tuner is fitted, this must be removed first together with mounting frame.
–  Unfasten nut -4- (3 Nm) and slacken off bolt -3- (3.5 Nm).
–  Pull out navigation unit -5- with holder and unplug connectors.
   
–  Slacken off bolt -1- (2 Nm) and unfasten nuts -2- (3 Nm).
–  Pull out CD changer with holder and unplug all connectors.

–  Slacken off bolts -2- (2 Nm) and detach CD changer -1- from holder.
Installing:
–  Install accordingly in reverse order of removal.
–  After installation check wiring to radio → Chapter.
