t  Support clamp -VW 313-
t  Engine and gearbox support -VW 540-
t  Lifting tackle -2024 A-
t  Workshop hoist -VAS 6100- or workshop crane -V.A.G 1202 A-

   
Procedure
l  Gearbox detached from engine.
–  Detach crankcase breather hose from oil filler neck.
–  To transport engine, engage lifting tackle -2024 A- on engine and workshop hoist -VAS 6100-.
  Note
To adjust to the centre of gravity of the assembly, the perforated rails of the support hooks must be positioned as shown.
  WARNING
The support hooks and retaining pins on the lifting tackle must be secured with locking pins -arrows-.

–  To carry out repair work, secure the engine with engine and gearbox support -VW 540- to support clamp -VW 313- or engine stand -VAS 6095--arrows-.
