Removing and installing engine preheating elementZ97 (vehicles with engine code CBEA)

Removing and installing engine preheating element -Z97- (vehicles with engine code CBEA)

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Hose clip pliers -VAS 6362-

Removing

–	Remove noise insulation -1- → Rep. gr.50.

–	Drain coolant → Chapter.

–	Loosen hose clip and detach coolant hose from connection -arrow A-.

–	Unfasten retainer on electrical connector and detach connector for engine preheating element-arrow D-.

–	Loosen hose clip and detach coolant hose from connection -arrow E-.

–	Release clamp -arrow B- and pull out engine preheating element-arrow C- from below.

Installing:

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

–	Fill up with coolant → Chapter.

–	Install noise insulation → Rep. gr.50.
