Removing and installing exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor -G98- Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Hose clip pliers -VAS 6340-

t  Socket, 14 mm -T10401 -

Removing –  Remove air cleaner housing → Rep. gr.23.

–  Move clear vacuum hoses -arrows- at air pipe. –  Loosen hose clip -2- and detach air pipe.

–  Remove bolt -1- and detach warm air collector plate -arrow-.

Illustration shows exhaust gas temperature sensor -G98- located below master brake cylinder at gearbox end -arrow- as seen from engine compartment. –  Loosen exhaust gas temperature sensor -G98- with socket, 14 mm -T10401- and remove. Installing Install in reverse order. l  Tightening torques → Chapter „Turbocharger - exploded view“
