Display on VAS 5051B :

Select "Basic setting" function in selection - 1 - and continue by pressing the arrowright button.

Display on VAS 5051B :

-

In button field - 1 -, press buttons 6 3 for "display group 063" and confirm entry by pressing Q button.

Activate basic setting by pressing Activate button - A -.

Display on VAS 5051B :

-

Check indication in display fields - 3 - and - 4 -.
Scan tool display: "Operate kick-down"

-

Depress accelerator pedal completely past the kick-down point and hold depressed.
Scan tool display: "Kick down ADP in progress"

Check specified value in display fields - 3 - and - 4 -.
Scan tool display: "Kick down ADP OK."

NOTE:
-

If "Kick down ERROR" is displayed: Check DTC Memory.

"ERROR" could be displayed e.g. if the accelerator pedal is not immediately depressed after prompting the tester or if the accelerator pedal is
released during adaptation, even though adaptation had not been completed. Exit the "Basic setting" function by pressing the arrowleft button
and perform the adaptation again.

End "Basic setting" function by pressing the arrowleft button.

-

Select "End output" function in selection.

-

Turn ignition off and disconnect Data Link connector (DLC).
