CAUTION.
DO NOT attempt to remove control module without releasing center retaining clip as described in next step. Damage to control module
will result.

Insert drill bit with dia. 2.5 mm (or equivalent tool such as a screwdriver etc.) as illustrated- 2 - approximately 45 mm into hole - arrow 1 - in
order to release center retaining clip - arrow 2 -. It may be necessary to twist the drill/tool slightly in order to release clip.

Only after center retaining clip has been released:

-

Pull module down slightly and remove drill/tool.

Release rear retaining clip - arrow - and remove module.

-

Disengage locks on electrical connections and disconnect electrical connections.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

-

First engage top steering column trim into forward portion of bottom trim - arrow 1 - as illustrated.
