The long "sensor arm" -B- of the Mechatronic must not be damaged.

^

Never lift the Mechatronic by, or allow it to rest on, the "sensor arm".

CAUTION
^

If handled carelessly, the "tabs" -arrow 2- can break off.

^

If the "sensor arm" is damaged, the Mechatronic must be replaced.

Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

Replace bolts of the Mechatronic.

^

Replace O-rings on the mechatronic 20-pin connector.

^

Replace the transmission fluid pump cover and the bolts for the transmission fluid pump cover.

Carefully place Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic J743 into transmission housing.

Note:

^

The long "sensor arm"-B- of the Mechatronic must not be damaged.

Make sure the alignment pin -A- is correctly positioned in the transmission housing -arrow 1 - and the "sensor arm" -B- in the guide -arrow 2- of
the transmission housing.

Note:

^

When installing the Mechatronic, the wiring of the connector -A- must not be pinched. If the wiring is damaged, the G182 / G509 must be
replaced.

Install bolts -1 to 10- and tighten by hand.

-

Tighten bolts in sequence -1 to 10- to 13 Nm.

-

Hook electrical wiring into upper retaining tab first and then into the lower -arrows-.

-

Connect connector -A- and check connector engagement.

-

Clean sealing surfaces and remove oil residue.
