Checking belt webbing
–  Pull belt as far as it will go out of belt retractor or lap belt adjuster.
–  Check belt webbing for dirt and, if necessary, wash with mild soap solution; also refer to ⇒ Owner's Manual.
l  If the following type of damage (shown in illustrations 1 and 2) is identified on a vehicle following an accident you must renew the complete seat belt including the belt buckle.
l  If damage as shown in illustrations 1, 2 or 3 is identified on a vehicle which has not been involved in an accident, it is sufficient to only renew the damaged belt.
   
l  1 – Belt is cut, torn or chafed

l  2 – Frayed fabric at edge of belt

l  3– Burn marks caused by cigarettes or similar
  V68-0460
