Removing warning lamp for airbag deactivated on front passenger side > < Removing and installing airbag (front passenger side)

Removing and installing key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side
Removing and installing key-operated switch to deactivate airbag on front passenger side
t  Removing:
  WARNING
Observe the safety precautions for working on airbags → Chapter.
–  Remove glove box  → Chapter.
   
–  Use a screwdriver to carefully press back retaining clips -arrows-.
–  Press out key-operated switch for airbag on front passenger side -1- to front.

–  Insert key -3- in lock -2-.
–  Destroy key-operated switch -1- with key -3- inserted.
–  Break out lock -2-.
–  Press lock -2- with key -3- inserted into new key-operated switch -1- until lock -2- engages.
  Note
t  Observe measures to be taken after connecting battery → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
t  If the airbag warning lamp -K75- indicates a fault following installation, use the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051 A- to interrogate, erase and then re-interrogate the event memory.
