t | Removing |
– | Remove bolts -3- (2x). |
– | Fold seat forwards. |
Note
To avoid unnecessary repair costs, check the electrical/electronic components and wiring before removing the seat any further. |
– | Perform the following checks: |
t | Check fuse → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations |
t | Check voltage at connector point and perform Fault Finding if necessary → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations |
t | Check voltage at control unit → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations |
t | Check voltage at seat longitudinal adjustment motor -V288- → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations |
– | Remove bolts -1- (4x). |
– | Take out backrest with upper seat pan frame. |
t | Defective control unit: |
– | Unplug connector at seat longitudinal adjustment motor. |
– | Use external power source to move seat longitudinal adjustment motor until bolts become visible. |
– | Remove bolts. |
– | Remove control unit → Chapter. |
t | Defective seat longitudinal adjustment motor: |
– | Unplug connector at seat longitudinal adjustment motor. |
– | Unscrew bolts (2x) at seat longitudinal adjustment motor. |
– | Disengage seat longitudinal adjustment motor from shafts (both sides). |
– | Move both seat rails with a battery-operated screwdriver and long shaft until concealed bolts become visible. |
– | Remove bolts. |
– | Renew seat base frame with seat longitudinal adjustment motor. |
