1 - Cylinder head gasket
q   Renewing → Chapter „Removing and installing cylinder head“
q   Installation position: Part No. towards cylinder head
q   If renewed, change coolant and engine oil
2 - Lifting eye
3 - 22 Nm
4 - Gasket
q   Renew if damaged or leaking
5 - Gasket for cylinder head cover
q   Renew if damaged or leaking
6 - Cylinder head cover
q   Removing and installing cylinder head cover (left-side) → Chapter
q   Removing and installing cylinder head cover (right-side) → Chapter
7 - Ignition coil
q   Use puller -T40039- to remove
8 - Special bolt, 9 Nm
q   Renew if damaged or leaking
q   Note correct sequence when tightening → Anchor
9 - Gaskets for cylinder head cover
q   Renew if damaged or leaking
10 - Gasket for cylinder head cover
q   Renew if damaged or leaking
11 - Semi-circular seal
q   Renew if damaged or leaking
12 - Cylinder head bolt
q   Renew
q   Note correct sequence when loosening → Anchor
q   Note correct sequence when tightening → Anchor
13 - Cylinder head
q   Removing → Chapter
q   Checking for distortion → Fig.
q   Machining dimension → Fig.
q   Installing → Anchor
q   If renewed, change coolant and engine oil

   
Checking cylinder head for distortion
–  Use straight edge and feeler gauge to measure for distortion at several points.
l  Max. permissible distortion: 0.1 mm

Cylinder head machining limit
–  Machining of the cylinder head (surface grinding) is only permissible down to the minimum dimension -a-.
t  Minimum dimension: -a- = 139.25 mm
