Removing and installing left/right gas discharge bulb control unit J343/J344
Removing and installing left/right gas discharge bulb control unit -J343-/-J344-
  WARNING
High voltage! Danger to life!
Safety precautions when handling gas discharge bulbs → Electrical system; General information; Rep. Gr.94.
   
Removing
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth cable at battery → Chapter.
–  Remove headlight → Chapter.
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove retaining clip -2-.
–  Pull control unit -1- for gas discharge bulb out of headlight housing and unplug electrical connectors.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Check seal between gas discharge bulb control unit and headlight housing.
–  Install headlight → Anchor.
–  Connect battery. Steps required → Anchor.
